YMCA 18 UNIT SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT
Our team were engaged by the YMCA at the detailed design phase of the project to assess the ongoing viability of modular vs traditional construction methodology.
Following a detailed cost analysis, our team were appointed to deliver 9 double storey units plus 1 onsite manger and communal space via traditional construction techniques.
The project is funded by the Y-Care South East Queensland Inc. via a Capital Funding Agreement with DHPW.
Key deliverables of the project are outlined as follows:
- The project is to be delivered in line with Y-Care’s core values: – Create a space that allows residents to begin their ‘Journey to Self Determination’ – To assist those in need
- The project is to be of a traditional construction
- The project is to be delivered in accordance with DHPW Design Standards
- The project is required to meet Gold Liveable Standards inclusive of DDA Accessibility
